Very Nice Shoes

These shoes are really well designed, fit well around the foot, the shoe is made of canvas so there's no need to break them in as they're a simple fabric, one thing I would advise people to do is to buy the next size down like my mate told me to, I'm a size 11 & the size 11 shoe has about 3cm of gap between my toes & the tip of the inside, should've bought the size 10, it maybe because they're anerican shoes, whoever managed the shoe sizings for these were definitely not from this side of the pond, regardless though they're a really nice pair, my next ones will be optical white & this time I'll get them in size 10 :)

Great knockarounds, might want to waterproof

I have a size 5 classic black and they're great everyday trainers. A timeless classic they go with all casual Jean's/Cords type outfits. Another reviewer commented on the price being expensive, however having had several high street rip offs that look dogeared and come unstitched after a few months, i do for once believe i'm paying for quality and not just a name. The only downside i see with Converse (and all canvas in general) is their all weather suitability, as you would expect they aren't especially waterproof but this is easily fixable with a waterproof spray and this helps keep them clean too...oh and my feet get colder than standard trainers, which is an excuse for comfy socks. A lot of people seem to have bought from Office but mine were from Amazon directly, quick free shipping and no hassle..that's great service in my opinion.

Just received my Converse Chuck Taylor's and have to say I am very impressed. Managed to find a telephone number to contact Amazon and changed my order at late notice (from Navy to classic black), they were very helpful and amended it successfully. These trainers look great with a pair of jeans and have a timeless design that will never go out of fashion. They are also very comfortable and have not been rubbing like most new pairs of shoes do. I think Converse go by American sizes so my advice would be to go for one size down from your usual. The one downside I have found is the quality isn't quite what I thought it would be with the upper consisting of a single ply canvas. This probably helps keep the weight down if you are playing basketball - what the shoes were originally designed by Chuck Taylor to be used for.

These are my dream shoes- unusual, practical, punky, comfortable. I wear these out to clubs (not being a minidress or heels kinda girl) and I always get looks and compliments. The zip does make for quick slipping them on and off, but be warned- I don't know if anyone else has has this trouble, but the bottom of the zip shreds my heel. I have size 3 or 4. Sometimes when I lace them they are absolutely fine, other times the zip sags and buckles at the bottom and gives me blisters. If you look at the photo example you can see they can be a bit saggy at the back- but if you lace them tight they are harder to get off, zip or no. So, if you're like me and have skinny legs/heels, you won't be able to wear these everyday without plasters, and they aren't as easy to put on. However, don't let that stop you. These are AMAZING shoes!

I got these converse and they arrived really quickly i laced them up and tried them on straight away, and all i an say is i never wanted to take them off, they're different but look great and everyone's wanted to know where i got them from; all my friends love them! I'm extreamly happy with them and glad i bought them.
The only down side is that if you where skinnies and theyre tuked under your heel so that they fit in the converse you can get blisters if you where them for a while but i guess thats all on my part and i should adjust how im wearing them.

Delivery time may be totally unrelated to the shoes themselves, but I was totally gobsmacked. Standard delivery - and they arrived in just under 16 hours!! Amazing!
I have always wanted a pair of these, and the skydiver colour were my first pair. Very attractive shoes, and suitable for anything... so far today I have sat an exam, sprinted half a mile, and been sliding around on grass with a power kite. The only thing I would say is that these are not shoes for quick jaunts outside - they take a couple of minutes to lace up and put on. Well worth it once they are on though! Can't stress enough how nice they are: comfortable, stylish, great for sport, and they attract glances from everyone. Expense is not an issue when it comes to these shoes - buy a pair! (or ten)

A friend recommended a pair to me. they are really comfortable and look great with anything esp Jeans. Everyone said how great they are and I will defo recommend them to anyone. Excellent for chillin in the house and going out with friends. For me the best pair of shoes I've ever had.

I have bought converse shoes before on line but they were way to big and i sent them back. This time I ordered a size smaller and the fit is fine, but i think that is common for unisex shoes

nice looking shoe and will be great for the summer - comfy to walk in but wouldn't attempt a marathon distance.

I've no interest in whats fashionable or not however its seems these pumps i purchased are really smart and in at the minute.I had a set for years and years as a lad, and i've found these just as durable and sturdy as they evere were,the added new colours also help give a nice twist on a classic piece of footwear i'd reccomend to anyone!

I bought these a few weeks ago before i wrote this review so i could get used to the shoes, but i must say they are excellent shoes, i wear them all the time, the quality is brilliant and they go well with most of the things i also wear. i ordered these purple converses because i have always loved them and now that i have them, i am really glad as they are such good quality. I bought a pair a few weeks ago in black and have been really pleased with them. I've found them comfortable, even after wearing them all day and are great with jeans. In fact I'm considering purchasing another pair in a different colour.

I got mine a few weeks ago in white-coral.
Big plus as they look very pretty and girly.
Although quite hard to keep them clean (but that is just because I got them in a very bright colour).
Not that comfortable as I expected and I would reccommend to get one size bigger than usual as they come quite small.

Ordered back in May for a 1940's Hanger Dance I was going to. In the event, it was too warm to wear them on that occasion, but have worn them at least twice a week since I got them for work and kicking about - so comfy :)
Found I can also dance in them quite well, so if you are going to a 1940's dance I can recommend these.

Normally a bit funny about shoes and how they feel but as soon as i put these on it was like i'd wore them in, very comfortable, goes with pretty much anything and slip on nice and easy without the hassle of lacing up like the regular converse, and come in lots of colours, i would reccommend to anybody!

So happy I ordered these, they came really fast considering I ordered them on a sunday and recieved them on a tuesday!
Make sure you get a size up like I did I think thats how they work anyway. Im a size 5 but I ordered a size 6 and they fit comfortably and great!!

Let me just get one thing straight - I think these trainers/shoes look truly awful, and they will give you blisters if worn for extended periods of time.

The reason I bought them was to use for my heavy gym sessions. I was previously using standard running trainers but their cushioned heels meant that for exercises like squats and deadlifts I was losing a lot of energy through the cushioning effect (much like softer suspension will make a car perform worse).

These converse are good in that they have very hard, flat soles which are good for energy transferrence. They also provide decent lateral support as well.

I had to get a size slightly smaller than usual in order for these to fit.

This is my third pair of Converse boots and I love them. I am a UK size 5 and the fitting is perfect for me. I don't feel as if I am wearing anything on my feet when I have them on. The other pairs I have are still very wearable after a couple of years and I didn't really need a new pair, but who needs to need them to buy them I say.

These are very comfortable,practical and hardwearing. Because they are very plain and muted they tend to go with everything because they are not one of the louder patterns you can wear them with much more stuff.

I tend to wear them with black leggings and skirts, or just jeans . I find them especially good because they like you to wear black shoes for a lot of jobs and it is hard to find comfortable affordable black shoes, A lot of formal shoes dig in and are a misery to wear all day.

These are about my 10th pair of Converses, Im a big fan !!

Love these! Cheap, easy and quick.
I bought these in white and the first thing I did upon receiving them was buy another pair! I did however read the reviews before and found people were saying they were small? I opted for a size up (5) and found them to be a little big.. so needless to say the next pair bought was a size smaller.
Wear with anything, so comfortable to walk in and they look great. Definitely 5 stars!

I felt I needed to be locked up after getting these wicked shoes for only £28.....

Great product, everyone needs a pair of good converses.

I will be buying another pair soon.

The only reason I didn't rate it 5, is the lack of colours in the larger sizes. Only 9 colours out of the 34 where available in my size UK 13.

Still worth every penny.

These are great trainers. I had some navy ones about ten years ago when I was at college and they were so comfy and lasted for a good few years so when I was looking for some new trainers I thought I would get another pair. I was really looking forward to getting these..they looked really cool on the pictures.
They turned up...they are converse...they are red....the only disappointment was that the skull and text images are a kind of brushed material attached to the canvas....I may be nit picking here...but I do wonder how these will last after some wearing in and maybe getting them wet a few times.
At the back...red suede sort of material.
Only time will tell.....usual comfy converse fit.

There is a variation on this design..which for some reason is only available in the US..same pattern..but black canvas..nice red stitching and leather at back the graphics are printed on canvas...so they seem a little resilient to wear
Pretty pricey though unless you are crossing the Atlantic soon

comfy and durable
It's not very often that i'll rave about a pair of trainers, but this is the day!

I have had a pair of the high-tops for a while and recently bought these. I have the blue grad ones.

I have found them to be much more comfortable than their over-the-ankle counterparts and with less of a restriction on wearing the shoe around the ankle it makes the whole trainer much more free and easy to wear.

I have noticed and heard that they are very popular in Europe at the moment and as the fundamental design of the trainer hasn't changed remarkably since their inception, you know you're buying into something which won't lose fashion overnight.

The rubber soles which come up around the front and the sides of the trainer are perfect for avoiding a lot of the wear and tear which a lot of trainers recieve around the front and edges.

I would recommend getting a pair of these, they are wonderful!

Awesome shoes!!, 24 Feb 2010
I've wanted these shoes for ages, and now that I've finally got them I love them. They look awesome with pretty much anything.

I tip to those about to buy (which others have said as well): go to a high-street shop and try on a pair there before you buy anything to get the right fit. I did this initially cos I was going buy them there but turns out its cheaper on amazon. Would have bought size 13s which would have been way too big.

Overall great shoes A+ love them!

the shoes themselves are fine, no worries at all, however they took just under 3 weeks to arrive, due to the delivery service... i'm not in during the day, dont really have neighbours i can leave things with and i dont drive. pretty shafted on the delivery front if that sounds familiar..? the one good thing about the royal mail is that you can have things delivered at postoffices, rather than depots on the edge of town.... the current delivery services are a problem for these reasons.

Classic Shoe

Just received my Converse Chuck Taylor's and have to say I am very impressed. Managed to find a telephone number to contact Amazon and changed my order at late notice (from Navy to classic black), they were very helpful and amended it successfully. These trainers look great with a pair of jeans and have a timeless design that will never go out of fashion. They are also very comfortable and have not been rubbing like most new pairs of shoes do. I think Converse go by American sizes so my advice would be to go for one size down from your usual. The one downside I have found is the quality isn't quite what I thought it would be with the upper consisting of a single ply canvas. This probably helps keep the weight down if you are playing basketball - what the shoes were originally designed by Chuck Taylor to be used for.

About Bulova
In 1875, a young Czech immigrant named Joseph Bulova set up shop in New York City, and a legendary American watch brand was born.
